About Our Theater

If you've been out to North Fourth Art Center recently, you've probably seen our new 99 seat black box theater and colorful lobby gallery. After much planning, construction and remodeling, we raised the curtain on May 5th, 2006. Since then, we have brought cutting edge theater, dance, multi-media productions, poetry readings, musical performances and art exhibitions from around the world to our Albuquerque venue.

North Fourth Art Center is an ADA accessible facility, including an FM system in N4th Theater that allows for audio description, translation and amplified hearing, and a permanently installed Oval Loop System that can be used with either a headset or a T-switch on a patron’s hearing aide. Through prior arrangement theater seating can allow for up to 50 wheelchairs. Our lobby gallery is also accessible and serves as multipurpose space Monday–Friday for the Day Arts Classroom program (our core educational program). We are committed to offering educational opportunities and cultural access through the arts to people with disabilities and other under-served populations in the community.
