Dara McLaughlin - My writing encompasses my life as a human being, a woman, a mother, a part of today’s world, and much more. My art reflects the life I know. It is both about disability and not about disability. I don’t think of myself as a disabled artist, but rather as an artist who is also disabled. My mission, my hope, is that in some small way I may contribute to the life and progress of Disability Culture in the best way I know how—through my words and images.
