Oh girl - Are you right! But information on the part of the general population is thin at best. Now accomodation is one story, we shouldn't have to do it. On the other hand is education, and with great trepidation I say we have been chosen by the universe" to be educators in an unusaul way.
YOu're smart - you know what I mean. Accomodating, no. Teaching, well, that's up to the individual. I spontaneously teach the unknowing public sometimes when I'm not evevn aware of it - all I have to do is be in the public eye. Then there's direct teaching on-the-spot like kids in a grocery store wanting to know why I have the wheelchair.
BUT we need breaks even from that kind of teaching and sometimes I just want to tell everyone who finds me a phenomenon to "get outta here - it's none of your business!"
I guess we all have to find the place in our minds and hearts where we will or will not give and then understand that it's all "the right thing."
