Boy--Roger, you brought up a great topic. I have been called alot of things, but a fire hazard is one of the top five in the insult catagory. Having been wheelchair disabled many years, I've been given this reason many times at hockey games, concerts, movies, restaurants-- you name it. It seems to be the favorite excuse for a business to get us out of view. I've even had someone come up to me in a restaurant and tell me that the sight of me ruined their appetite!
The world is full of bloodless people, and the disabled gets to meet a majority of them. But I still feel my life as a wonderful one, and try to live it without rancor towards those thoughtless creatures who claim "I'm not a bigot!"
Anybody else have thoughts about this? Barbara
